About

April 2, 2007

Ask me what I love about being a photographer, and I’ll talk your ear off. I feel called to capture that smile, that look, that little something that really reveals the true spirit of a person. I love showing proofs to clients and hearing their laughter and sighs and realizing that, in time, my images will become a part of their family story. I love watching families expand; being a part of their celebrations and seeing children grow in front of my lens. I feel connected to the families I photograph and each and every person becomes a part of my own story as a member of the community and as a photographer.

My goal as a photographer is to capture those moments that are over too fast, ones we often forget to enjoy during our busy days. I want to stop time for you; to catch you and your family looking at leaves, playing in the yard, rolling on the grass, jumping on the bed. What speak to me most as a photographer are these flashes of life; of happiness, of silliness, of melancholy, joy, tears, and laughter. Also I don’t think anyone should be subjected to the indignity of this:
