Shane + Holly
I had a wonderful day photographing Shane & Holly’s low key Russian River Wedding. It was the warmest day of the year so far, but we had a cool river breeze and lots of beer to keep everyone refreshed!
I could shoot weddings like this all day! No stressed family members, no huge groups to try to mingle with… just a warm and fun group of friends and family celebrating the union of two people very much in love. The wedding and reception were both held at the Russian River Sportsman’s Club - A funky old lodge that is very cool, and very west county!
Such lovely colors!
Holly made such a beautiful bride!
The simple, sparse table settings played beautifully off the rustic lodge
Shane is really a crack up, and had everyone laughing during his vows.
And yes, the club is *really* a sportsman’s club.
Thanks so much for having me, I really enjoyed capturing your beautiful day!

For some reason I picked a lot of detail shots to share today, maybe because there were so many sweet little moments and details in today’s wedding. There were many moments of sweetness and light and a lot of laughter! The reception was at one of my favorite locations - Ca’Bianca. the folks there are so friendly and the food is SO good. I highly recommend checking them out.
Did I mention fun? These guys were cracking me up!

I was a little bit apprehensive about this shoot today. You see, its been a little while since I’ve photographed someone this age! Well. I needn’t have worried. This guy was not only handsome and totally at ease in front of the camera, he was hilarious and had me in stitches from the get-go.
I hope you guys enjoy the photos, and I’ll be in touch soon!
Just for you, Tony -

This wedding was so beautiful, I hardly have the words to describe it. From the perfectly sunny day to the the stunning bride, the delicious food, the decorations, the friends, the family… this wedding was truely one for the books!
So let’s start with some sneak peeks. And I always tell the family, “oh I’ll post just one image tomorrow night” but we all know that I can’t do that, especially when the wedding was this gorgeous.
Wait, did I forget to mention Elvis? This was a surprise guest from the bride’s father. It was excellent.
Congratulations, you guys. It was a pleasure to spend the day with you and your family, Thank you for letting me be a part of your celebration. - I wish you only the best of luck in your life and your marriage.
5 years is gone in the blink of an eye.
Today I was watching him run up the driveway towards my car - his hair flowing, long strong legs pumping, cheeks flushed and laughing, and I realized how far we’ve come. From the squirming little bug I held on my chest to the little man telling me jokes, learning to read, helping me make cookies and digging in the garden with his dad. I enjoy this age so much. I’m finally getting to know who he is now - and catching glimpses of the man he’s going to become. He amazes me every day with his sense of humor, his love of foods, his desire to learn, his compassion and tenderness. Of course he drives us crazy, too. Some days it seems as if he never stops talking, and he’s learned to roll his eyes like a pro. But he’s still my little baby boy. It’s still a treat to cuddle in our bed, to read stories, to watch the stars. He’s my love and he’s changed my life. Happy birthday, buddy. i love you.
